WHO'S RUNNING THIS This giveaway is hosted by Veritas Outdoor Design, operating as Veritas Lighting, based in Enderby, British Columbia.
WHEN YOU CAN ENTER Entries open July 1, 2026 and close December 9th, 2026 at 11:59 PM PST. The winner will be drawn on December 10th, 2026.
WHO CAN ENTER To take part, you need to:
Be 19 or older
Own the home where the project would take place
Live in British Columbia
Have a property located within Veritas Lighting's service area
This giveaway is open to homeowners only — staff at Veritas Outdoor Design, their immediate family, and anyone living in their household are not eligible to enter. Limit of one entry per household.
HOW TO ENTER Submitting an entry is free and only takes a minute. You'll need to provide:
Your name
A phone number
An email address
Your property address
No purchase is necessary to enter. By submitting your information, you're agreeing that Veritas Lighting may follow up with you about lighting services or future promotions.
WHAT YOU COULD WIN One winner will receive a project credit of up to $10,000 CAD toward an outdoor lighting installation completed by Veritas Lighting.
A few things to know about how the credit works:
It can't exceed 50% of your total project cost
The maximum amount is $10,000 CAD
It can't be exchanged for cash
Any portion not used toward the project is forfeited
For example:
A $20,000 project → receives the full $10,000 credit → your cost is $10,000
A $14,000 project → receives a $7,000 credit (50% maximum) → your cost is $7,000
The credit can be applied to:
Permanent soffit lighting
Landscape lighting
A combined outdoor lighting package
All work must be designed, supplied, and installed by Veritas Lighting.
WHERE THIS APPLIES Your property needs to be located within Veritas Lighting's service area, which includes Salmon Arm, Enderby, Sicamous, Sorrento, Vernon, Lake Country and the surrounding Shuswap and Okanagan region. Properties outside this area may be subject to travel charges or may not qualify, depending on location.
TIMELINE TO BOOK If you win, you'll need to sign a contract within 6 months of the draw date. If a contract isn't signed within that window, the prize will be forfeited.
HOW THE WINNER IS CHOSEN The winner is selected through a random draw on December 10th, 2026. We'll reach out by phone or email to notify the winner. If we're unable to reach the selected entrant within 7 days, or if they don't meet the eligibility requirements, a new winner may be drawn. As required under Canadian contest law, the winner must correctly answer a skill-testing question.
A FEW CONDITIONS ON THE PROJECT ITSELF Any project completed under this giveaway must:
Be designed, supplied, and installed by Veritas Lighting
Take place on property owned by the winner
Meet all relevant building codes and local regulations
If site conditions, access limitations, permitting issues, or safety concerns prevent the project from moving forward, Veritas Lighting reserves the right to decline the project.
WHAT'S INCLUDED The credit covers materials, labour, and design work provided directly by Veritas Lighting. It does not cover additional costs like permits, engineering, electrical upgrades, or work outside the agreed project scope unless specifically included in your signed contract.
TAXES Any applicable taxes or fees related to the prize are the responsibility of the winner.
USING YOUR STORY If you win and accept the prize, you're agreeing that Veritas Lighting may share your name along with photos or video of the completed project for marketing purposes, at no additional cost to either party.
A NOTE ON LIMITATIONS Veritas Lighting isn't responsible for entries that are lost, incomplete, or not received due to technical issues or other circumstances outside our control. We reserve the right to modify, pause, or cancel this promotion if needed.
YOUR ODDS Your chances of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the promotion period.
YOUR PRIVACY Any information you share with us is used only for running this giveaway and for following up about Veritas Lighting services. We will never sell your information to a third party.
